PLASTIC SURGERY - Near Greensboro, N Carolina

Large hospital system is seeking Plastic Surgeon. Their current Plastic Surgeon will be leaving in January of 2006. While this physician was practicing, he performed 204 surgeries in 2003 and 234 in 2004. They prefer an ENT that wants to practice facial plastic surgery as well. There is a large market for plastics. In addition, their sister facility does not have any surgeons performing plastic surgeries. This could potentially be another big opportunity for a new recruit. Candidate needs to be BE/BC. A generous income guarantee is offered. Will cover marketing expenses and relocation expenses.

ABOUT THE AREA:

The hospital is a 237-bed, full service, acute-care community hospital. Recent capital improvements include a new 64-Slice CT Scanner, Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Ambulatory Surgery Center and renovation of the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors. In addition, we will be installing an Open MRI, adding a second Cath Lab, building an additional Medical Office Building on the hospital campus and opening an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. A family oriented community located 50 miles North of Greensboro, NC and 50 miles South of Roanoke, VA. The city has a population of 17,000 and Henry County has a population of 53,000. The total service area for health care services at the hospital is 92,000 in population. The lakes and mountains also attract many vacationers and retirees to the area. The public school is excellent. All schools are fully accredited. The city offers ample public and private schools, which provide sound educational support from primary through higher education. Their high school graduates attend such outstanding universities as the College of William and Mary, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and University of North Carolina. The area is a haven for fishermen and water sports enthusiasts. The 3,000-acre Philpott Lake boasts an undeveloped shoreline. Smith Mountain Lake has 500 miles of shoreline and offers water activities, lodging, fishing and big boating sports. The Smith River offers some of the best native brown trout fishing in the state. And Fairy Stone State Park offers 4,750 acres of hiking, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, tent sites, RV hookups, cabins and camping lodges.
